Fred Bossert, MD

Frederick Bossert, MD

While working as a pilot and aircraft mechanic, I concurrently served in the Air Force and Army for 9 years. Realizing that my passion was in helping others through medicine, I left aviation and attended medical school at ETSU in the wonderful Northeast Tennessee. My love for the river and the outdoors brought me to Chattanooga where I proudly live and practice today. I am a father to two amazing boys, and I enjoy volunteer, service, and medical mission work.

Dr. Elizabeth Erin Scarbrough

Dr. Elizabeth Erin Scarbrough

Dr. Elizabeth Erin Scarbrough was born in Arkansas and raised in Howe, Texas. She graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated with a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. She received her residency training here in Chattanooga with the University of Tennessee.
Regarding a career in obstetrics and gynecology, she says, “I chose this specialty because I love the bond that an OB/GYN forms with her patients. I get to follow women from adolescence all the way through menopause and beyond. I have the privilege of being involved in the happiest days of my patient’s lives as well as being a source of comfort in difficult times.”
Dr. Scarbrough provides a full complement of obstetric and gynecologic care. She has particular interest in minimally invasive and vaginal surgery as well as well as natural and alternative birthing techniques. She states, “I feel most fulfilled when I can give my patients the tools they need to feel empowered and take control of their health. I love to collaborate with my patients to come up with a treatment plan.”
In her spare time, Erin enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and NCAA football (Go Hogs!).
